Come Follow Me 2020: 2 Nephi 1-5
Thoughts on 2 Nephi chapters 1-5, the "Come Follow Me" reading for 3 - 9 FEB 2020.
This week Lehi gives his "last lecture" to his family before he dies. One of the all-time best sermons in the Book of Mormon. I'm mostly focusing on chapter 2, because his explanation of why the world has opposition in it is a major part of my beliefs. Also, some thoughts on a way to picture a "broken heart and a contrite spirit." And I even managed to stay (barely) under an hour! Enjoy!
Note on endorsement: This podcast is an independent production and does not officially represent the US Army or the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As a chaplain in the US Army, I am "endorsed" by (or rather, my endorsing agent is) the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. All Army chaplains must possess an ongoing endorsement by a faith group recognized by the Department of Defense.
