Come Follow Me 2020: Alma 53-63
This week we look at the second half of the "war chapters" in the Book of Mormon, taking us to the end of Alma. Once again, I totally geek out on Nephite tactics and try to draw spiritual lessons from physical battles. Come listen and learn about how NOT to pull guard duty, how to arm those under the captivity of sin to escape bondage, and how Helaman's warriors teach us about faith and courage. Also...the Nephite post-war population boom :)

- If you'd like to see the conceptual map that I keep referring to, that can be found at the BYU Virtual Scriptures project here.
- Since I didn't cover Moroni's letter and Pahoran's response in detail, here's a link to a short message by John Hilton III, a BYU professor that I've run into a few times over the years.
Enjoy listening, and keep up the fight!

Note on endorsement: This podcast is an independent production and does not officially represent the US Army or the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As a chaplain in the US Army, I am "endorsed" by (or rather, my endorsing agent is) the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. All Army chaplains must possess an ongoing endorsement by a faith group recognized by the Department of Defense.
